week review

After lots of planning and storyboarding are group has now ventured into the filming stage. we have filmed different clips which has been hard to come together as a group due to the snow and lost a lot of time to film. On our Wednesday morning lesson i was unable to come into college due to the buses where not running running because of the snow. however, the rest of my group were brilliant and managed to film some footage without me. they did the shot, with Fred acting, of our character rocking in the corner with his back turned to the camera. i shot looked really good and effective. i even felt that it was better than the plan. Also, we being unsure of what to film as i unfortunately had the storyboards, my group took advantage of the weather and shot some clips of feet walking in the snow. after looking at the clips the sound is really good with the crunching of the snow underneath the foot. plus from this not going to waste we thought it would be a good idea to put some credits in this shot. On the Friday we did the toothbrush footage, where we filmed putting the toothpaste on the toothbrush. Then this Monday's lesson we did some filming too. we split the group to work on two things at the same time. Morgy and i went film the desk scene and Amiee and Fred looked on the Internet to make the hangs man noose. For the desk shot we went up to the library and set up the mise en sence on the back table. the back table was good as the desk was up against the wall which was white facing a window which was more realistic for a home desk. Due to our character having OCD and used to be in a mental institution, we had to make sure the desk was very tidy and neat. we found some newspapers and piled them up along with some pencils in height order on the table. Then we had a great find in the library of some volumes of books tittled "The decline and fall" which fitted with the character background completely being a really good hint to the audience. after this we went back to the classroom to meet with the rest of our group and found that Amiee and Fred did manage to make the hangmans noose knot so with this we had an idea that for a good swinging scene it needed to be in the air. this lead to a great idea from fred to throw it over the ruby pole. This was a good idea as the rope gained good momentom and when amiee filmed it the sky in the background was red/purple with lots of eiry clouds which added a really good effect.
